Students in Service
The Bible teaches that whoever gives you a cup of water to drink because of your name as followers of Christ, truly I say to you, he will not lose his reward (Mark 9:42). Students at Friendship develop a heart for serving God with involvement in a variety of community service opportunities such as monthly visits to the Genesis Home. High school girls mentor other girls as they invest time with girls in need. Both guys and girls also visit the elderly at the Legacy Nursing Home regularly. The kids experience the satisfaction of loving others as they minister to the community around them. Students are also fully involved in serving the Lord through their own church with church wide projects such as Operation Christmas Child’s Shoebox Ministry, service in a local soup kitchen, Christmas caroling to shut-ins/nursing homes, and free babysitting service nights.
