Students on the Move
Students at Friendship are on the move with numerous opportunities facilitating spiritual growth and development.
Camp
Camp provides students with an opportunity to get away from their regular routines and spend an extended time as a group with other churches in worship, service, and Bible study. Students participate in Lifeway Cross-Over Camps http://www2.lifeway.com/fuge/index.php/pages/events/centrifuge/ All students have the opportunity to learn cooperation, focus on God’s Word as it relates to each individual, and worship the risen Lord. Student worship is led by some of the best youth communicators and praise bands available today.
High School: June 4 – 9 at North Greenville University
For 9-12 Grade Students – Camp focuses on mission opportunities through organized mission projects in participation with church youth groups from across the country. Developing a heart for serving others as well as interaction with peers to accomplish a mission are just two of the valuable lessons gleaned from the camp experience.
Middle School: June 4 – 9 at North Greenville University
For 6 – 8 Grade Students – Camp focuses on Bible study while interacting with other students from across the country. Students have the opportunity to take part in the worship experience through stage performance as well as team building activities.
Retreat
Two major annual retreats give students a time to unplug from the tech world. Leaving their computers, I-pods, and all other tech devices behind students enter into a time of deliberate focus on Bible study, worship, and fellowship within the youth group.
Inside-Out Weekend: March 9-11, 2012
Students stay in the homes of church members in small groups by age and gender. These small groups have a deliberate focus on Bible study and Christian character development. All students come together for worship and large group Bible study.
Winter Retreat: End of December 2012 (2 day retreat)
Students travel to a retreat site to experience group Bible study as well as individual times of reflection. Corporate Bible study and praise and worship are also included as students learn to apply Biblical principles to everyday situations.
